The Etgal power plant

The project's description:

Lifting a generator weighing 230 metric tons and a turbine weighing 343 Metric tons at the Etagal power plant for the Issa Khouri company. The lifting was carried out by three cranes - two 500 metric ton cranes and a 400 metric ton crane.
Issa Khoury Ltd. invited the division for engineering projects to carry out the lifting of a generator and a turbine to the foundation intended for them.

The engineering department produced detailed crane plans determining the type of cranes required for the job. The plan considered the lifting radius from the transport support and the center of the foundation base, and the weight distribution between the cranes used in the lifting. The subject of ground loads was carefully examined.

The lift was successfully carried out in a winter weather. The coordination between the operators, the apparent teamwork and the precise direction of the components proved once again the ability of the engineering projects division to plan and execute complex projects.
