The heavy haulage department of the Engineering Projects Division has been specializing in the transportation of oversized and/or massive cargo for over 75 years. Loads that exceed the length, width, height, or weight defined by the regulations and any combination of these parameters. The heavy haulage department also takes care of the transportation of counterweights and lifting equipment of the crane department.

The department includes heavy trucks in unique configurations for transporting heavy loads. Modern and innovative semi-trailers and heavy-duty modules of different types designed for transporting different types of loads.

No place is too far, and no task is too difficult for the heavy haulage department. Each abnormal-cargo’s transport is planned by the engineering department. The plan combines the travel route, removal of hazards from the cargo’s path, the carrier's turning radius according to the transport configuration, and loads applied to the road.

This plan and the data in it allow the department to submit a transport permit request to " Israeli road authority
" and the various authorities along the route as needed, and to coordinate a police escort, when necessary. The driver and the crew can prepare in advance for the transport, study the route, get to know the load and its dimensions, and prepare for the transport work.

Our professional drivers are accompanied by members of the specialized transport team of the division. The staff members prepare the transport equipment suitable for each transport and accompany the driver - loading the cargo according to the engineering plan, securing it, and escorting the convoy along the route until it arrives safely at its destination.
